KDF55 removes heavy metals, chlorine and volatile organic chemicals (VOCs). It also raises pH*, reduces bacterial growth, controls hard water scale and algae growth by killing waterborne bacteria, parasites, cysts and viruses.

Coconut Shell Carbon
Our carbon is certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). It is a highly adsorbent material used to remove water contaminants. Activated carbon removes unpleasant tastes, odors, color, chlorine and volatile organic chemicals (VOCs). Activated carbon is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to remove a variety of dangerous and possibly carcinogenic chemicals in drinking water. This includes PFAs (“Forever Chemicals”), pesticides, herbicides and trihalomethanes (THM), which are a group of suspected carcinogens.
